Turning to the Europe of Solutions: strong participation in the event with the Vice-President of the European Commission, Mr. Margaritis Schina, at the Corinth Chamber.

 

A crowd of people gathered on Wednesday April 17 at 12 p.m. at the Corinth Chamber, where the President of the Corinth Chamber welcomed the Vice-President of the European Commission, responsible for promoting the European way of life, Mr. . Margariti Schina at the event with the theme “From the Europe of crises, to the Europe of solutions”. 

The panel was completed by the honorary presence of the regional governor of the Peloponnese, Mr. Dimitris Ptohou, the regional vice-governor for development and entrepreneurship and vice-president of the Corinthian Chamber, Mr. Sotiris Mourikis, as well as from the head of EYD Peloponnese, Mr. Antonis Psarakis. The discussion was moderated by the Secretary General of the Corinth Chamber, Mr. Dimitris Soufrilas. 

The event began with greetings from the President of the Corinthian Chamber, Mr. Panagiotis Louziotis, who welcomed Mr. Schinas as well as the official guests of the Corinthian Chamber who honored the event with their presence. Mr. Louziotis spoke of the particular importance of the presence of the Vice-President of the European Union in Corinth, which should be an opportunity to strengthen the dialogue in Corinth on issues that concern us all, notably the future and our journey in Europe. 

Then the speech was delivered by the main speaker of the event, Mr. Margaritis Schina, who spoke about the challenges of the European elections and the most important issues that concern Europe today. The lack of labor and skills, as well as the facilitation of the business environment on a continent where there is a long-term trend of demographic aging, were highlighted by Mr. Schina as “challenges “keys for the European economy to remain competitive. In his speech, he wanted to focus on the Europe of solutions and did not fail to mention issues such as European defense and the importance of further enlargement and deepening.

The regional governor of the Peloponnese, Mr. Ptochos, spoke about the role of the Peloponnese in Greece’s current journey within Europe and the new challenges that are emerging. “In the new dynamic course of our country, in a Europe up to the task, we have here imagined our place, the Peloponnese, in the role of standard bearer. leader”

The hearing was attended by renowned Corinthian businessmen, representatives of local organizations as well as students of the Peloponnesian University of our city, who did not hesitate to formulate important questions to which the Vice President of the European Commission responded in full, Mr Schoinas.

The presence of the public who invaded the hall of the Corinthian Chamber demonstrates the importance of this event for Corinth, which shows that it is actively interested in the dialogue on Europe and pays tribute to an important defender of Greek interests in a united Europe, Mr. Margaritis Schinas.
