The opening ceremony of the Corinth Chamber of Commerce exhibition “CORINTHIA PELOPONNESE 2026” was successfully held.

The exhibition activity “CORINTHIA – PELOPONNESE 2026” opened its gates to the public on the afternoon of Thursday, October 1, 2026 and then the official opening ceremony of the exhibition activity was successfully held in the presence of a number of state officials, the local government as well as representatives of institutions.

The inauguration was performed by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Corinth, Zemenos, Tarsos and Polyfengos, Mr. Pavlos, who wished good luck to the Chamber of Corinth and the exhibition activity and to all visitors to enjoy all the creations of the Corinthian and Peloponnesian land.

From the inauguration podium, the President of the Chamber of Corinth, Mr. Panagiotis Louziotis, officially declared the opening of the exhibition activity. In his speech, he stressed that “this year’s event aims above all to be a lively place of meeting, exchange of ideas, highlighting entrepreneurs and their issues, modern products and services”. Taking into account the development activities of Corinthia and the Peloponnese, Mr. Louziotis referred to the role of the Chamber of Corinth which connects, informs and contributes to the creation of opportunities, always being close to businesses and their requests.

Moving along this axis, the Management of the Chamber of Corinth has made sure that the exhibition is framed by a network of parallel events around the challenges that concern today’s business: training, skills and the formation of the labor market, the dynamics of the circular economy and the opportunities created by tourism for Corinthia and finally the development of the wine sector will be discussed by important speakers, giving a broader character to the exhibition activity. Also, environmental workshops for children will be held as well as road safety, an issue that concerns all of us, entrepreneurs and citizens.

In closing, the President of the Chamber of Corinth, Mr. Louziotis, referred to the common denominator of all the above, which is the cooperation between the institutions and the business community and stated a big thank you to all the sponsors and exhibitors who supported the event with their participation, to the employees, the partners and all the volunteers and associations that participate.

Then the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Margaritis Schinas, officially representing the Government, took the floor and referred to Greece, which is a leading player, produces and exports excellent products. However, he stressed the need for this model to evolve into an even stronger business and commercial model based on the value of product processing and it is something that we must conquer, as he said, and the Ministry is moving in this direction.

The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Christos Dimas, did not attend due to commitments, however, through his message, he wished good luck in the exhibition activity with substantial results for local entrepreneurship and the development prospects of our country.
